Where People Meet reduces the surface of an outdoor basketball court to a simple intersection of colour and line.
A vertical yellow marking divides two fields of layered blue, while a secondary line cuts across the surface, creating a quiet tension between structure and open space. The composition shifts the familiar geometry of the court toward minimal abstraction.
The work began as an original photograph before being printed onto canvas and reworked by hand. Painted layers were applied across sections of the surface to soften the photographic image and emphasise the colour fields and linear structure.
The result moves between photography and painting, presenting a restrained contemporary composition suited to modern interiors and architectural spaces.
